Water hose, (no. 1 - 4)
Rope, rubber, plastic, pigment, aluminum
40" x 16" x 32"
The water hose, a common object encountered often outdoors, is replicated in rubber, rope and plastic. A surrogate to the real thing, these water hoses transform into functionless fossils of the home.
Grand Opening Bunting
Cotton fabric, grommets, rope, acrylic paint, eye hooks
42″ x 23″ each
A hand-painted series of 50 bunting flags stand as symbols of shifting commerce and uprooted emblems of opportunity. Painted, bleached and stained to appear aged and tattered, these flags recall a time past, holding on to the promise of new beginnings.
